July: Some seams require clipping and trimming in order for them to lie properly when finished, and this step should not be skipped if you want your garment to have a professional look. Keep a good sharp pair of small scissors that cut nicely all the way to the tip within reach of your sewing machine at all times. Smaller scissors will give you more control when clipping.
