Mark Pieces when Cutting After choosing the
size and preparing your pattern and your fabric, you are ready to
cut. While cutting the pattern pieces, it is a good idea to mark each
piece on the wrong side of the fabric using transparent tape. This
tape has a dull finish that you can write on. Always use a pencil.
Ball point pens can spot the fabric and ink is difficult to wash out.
We suggest marking such things as upper collar, left front, side seams,
back, etc. These markings will be your reference when you begin sewing
the garment. You will always know the right side of the fabric. Plus
you will know the neckline edge of your collar, the upper collar from
the under collar, etc.
